1 Month Until the Breakers come to town for the first time since 2004

The 20^th November will mark 1 month until the Sky Sport NZ Breakers make a historical return to Christchurch on the 20^th December at Horncastle Arena. The last time the team played in the Garden City was in 2004! 15 years on and they’re back largely in part to the growing popularity of basketball in Christchurch. High school participation in basketball has grown tremendously, reaching record levels and the Canterbury Rams involvement in the NZ NBL over the past years has brought a popularity and awareness around the professional level of basketball in Canterbury and the entertainment that it provides to the fans!

Therefore, the Breakers returning is not just a regular season NBL game, it’s a monumental event which if Christchurch gets behind will mean more professional basketball teams like the Breakers coming to town in the exciting future ahead for the city!

Over 2,500 tickets have been sold for the 20^th December game with blue level seats sold out, less than 200 bronze tickets left, less than 15 Hollywood seats left and a highly limited amount of both Diamond and Platinum seating available as well. We are expecting a sell out for this game and it’s a night you won’t want to miss!
