Countdown to Cowles Opener

Rams Add Imports to Strong Kiwi Group

The Canterbury Rams have confirmed their second import signing ahead of this weekend’s season opener versus the Otago Nuggets at Cowles Stadium.

According to Canterbury Rams General Manager Caleb Harrison, their second import signing has been confirmed this week to complement a strong Kiwi core.

Ryan Taylor joins the squad following three seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors. He averaged 40% from the three-point line over the G League and has averaged 8.68 points per game.

Ryan attended Northwestern University and Evansville University, averaging 21.32 points in his junior season.

He played one season for Irakilis BC in the top Greek Professional League including the Europe Cup.

“Rams fans will appreciate the line-up with familiar faces and homegrown talent, as well as the level of our imports. Sunday Dech is one of the brightest rising stars in Australia’s NBL, and Ryan Taylor stands out as one of the better players in the NBA Development League (NBA G League).

“Sunday and Ryan will love Canterbury crowds, and our fans will certainly appreciate them.”
