CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — The Canterbury Rams are thrilled to welcome 6’10” Kiwi Jack Andrew to the team for the 2026 season!
Entering his seventh Sal’s NBL season, the 24-year-old bigman has established himself as an emerging talent in the league, having previously suited up for the Otago Nuggets and Taranaki Airs.
This past season with Taranaki, Andrew posted career-highs across the board, averaging 13.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.8 offensive rebounds (second best in the league), and 2.2 blocks (second best in the league).
“His hunger to continue improving and take the next step in his career aligns strongly with our club,” said Head Coach Quinn Clinton. “… we’re excited to get him down here and get to work.”
A current development player with the New Zealand Breakers, Andrew joins the Rams with three years of Australian NBL experience under his belt. He is also a newly anointed Tall Black, having made his national team debut at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
“The Rams felt like the right fit for me,” said Andrew on his decision. “Strong culture, a winning history, and a clear vision from the coaching staff. I liked the belief they showed in me and I’m excited to be part of what they’re building this year “

Andrew’s signing marks the first major piece in shaping the team’s on-court identity.
“Jack fits the identity of how we want to play perfectly,” said Clinton. “His ability to get out and run, apply consistent rim pressure, and impact the game as an elite possession winner is something we really value.”
“I’m focused on becoming a more consistent, well-rounded player and continuing to grow as a professional,” added Andrew. “[As well as] improving my impact on both ends of the floor and developing as a leader.”
While 2026 will be his first season wearing red and black, Andrew already has strong ties to the city.
“I have lots of family in Christchurch and the South Island so definitely a bonus to have the support from them. I’m excited to represent the Rams and the city.”
