Jake Holmes Joins Rams

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – Jake Holmes has signed with the Canterbury Rams as a development player.

“Jake has a unique combination of size and shooting ability that is uncommon in New Zealand,” said Head Coach Quinn Clinton. “We are excited to have him in our program, where he continually pushes himself to improve. His strong work ethic, coachability, and drive to grow as a basketball player give us great confidence in his future development.”

Holmes, entering year 13 at Rangiora High School, has made his mark on the local junior scene, leading Rangiora to the 2024 Thomson Trophy finals and Secondary Schools Nationals. He was also named to the CBA first team this past year in the Mens 23U grade.

“I’m looking forward to working alongside the fellas in the pursuit of another championship and improving under coach QC,” shared Holmes.
