CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – Jonty Bond has re-signed with the Rams as he prepares for his 2nd season of Sal’s NBL basketball.
“We’re excited to watch Jonty continue to grow in our environment,” said Head Coach Quinn Clinton. “He brings a winning spirit every day and is a guy the entire team loves being around.”
“As we head into year two, we’re eager to see him keep embracing the work and take his game to the next level.”
The 19-year-old guard checked in for 3 Sal’s NBL games in 2024, scoring his first professional points against the Manawatū Jets. He made an additional 7 Rapid League appearances, where he averaged 5.9 points per game.

“I learnt a lot last year playing in the NZNBL for the first time,” shared Bond. “I am ready to take what I learnt and use that to build myself as a player this year while playing for a great club like the Rams again”
Following the NZNBL season, Bond joined the Junior Tall Blacks for the FIBA U18 Asia Championship in Amman, Jordan. En route to a Silver finish, he scored 4.8 points per game, including a personal tournament best 11 points against Jordan.
