Kaia Isaac Re-Signs With Rams

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – The Canterbury Rams are excited to confirm the return of Kaia Isaac for the 2025 Sal’s NBL season.

“We’re really pleased to bring Kaia Isaac back into the fold. He was a game-changer for us on both ends of the floor last season,” said Head Coach Quinn Clinton. “Kaia brings an unmatched eagerness for improvement and growth – exactly the kind of mindset we value as a club.”

“Re-signing him was a no-brainer. We’re excited to have Kaia back and look forward to seeing him take another leap this NZNBL season.”

Isaac has grown into an integral member of the Rams’ local core, recording career-high averages across the board with 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 2024. Isaac’s Sal’s NBL play earned him nominations for both Most Improved Player and Youth Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old thrived in the newly added Sky Broadband Rapid League, being named the inaugural MVP of the competition. Isaac’s 11.4 point per game average led all qualified Rapid League scorers.

Isaac spoke on returning for another season in Canterbury, saying, “Super excited to be back and defending the title, having the opportunity to play for Quinn and playing in front of the Rams fans at Cowles!”

Keeping himself busy over the offseason, Isaac has spent the past six months as a development player with the NZ Breakers of the Australian NBL. He also made his Tall Blacks debut against the Philippines in October, as well as recording his first national team points in a win over Chinese Taipei.
