The Canterbury Rams are excited to announce the signing of Ben Hall for the 2021 Sal’s NBL Season!
Much like Rams teammate Jack Exeter, Ben went to school at Rangiora High School and was a key cog in the team. His development was extended through Canterbury representation at the Under 23 level as well as playing for the Canterbury Knights. Ben was a part of the championship winning Canterbury U23 team. Post high school Ben chose to stay local, and his hard work and commitment at school and his sport resulted in him receiving a sports scholarship to study and play at Lincoln University. Ben is currently studying a Masters in Finance.
Ben first represented the Rams in the Schick 3X3 Cup last year in Invercargill, where he played alongside Jack Exeter and under Rams Assistant Coach George Robinson.
Rams Head Coach Mick Downer commented on Ben saying “After a ton of hard work in the off-season we are really excited about what Hally brings to our Rams group this season. He could become a really elite shooter in the Sal’s NBL. Hally has an unquestioned work ethic and lives in the gym putting in the extra work. He’s gained strength in the weight room as well this pre-season. On court thrives within our style of play, scoring off cuts, boards, in transition and off screening actions. We can’t wait to see Ben continue to grow his game at both ends of the floor and help us be successful.”
