2023 Youth Player of the Year Walter Brown will be running it back with the Rams for the 2024 Sal’s NBL season.
Brown, entering his fourth season in the league, made his professional debut in 2021. This past season Brown became the full-time starting small forward for the Rams, scoring a career-high 9.5 ppg. Brown’s two-way play earned him the Youth Player of the Year award, making him the fourth Ram ever to win the award. He also was a finalist for the Most Improved Player award.
“He’s just gotten better and better every season. His trajectory is on the way up,” said Head Coach Judd Flavell. “He just outworks people which is one of the pieces that you need for a championship team.”
During the 2023 season, Brown re-signed with the Tasmania JackJumpers of the Australian NBL on a multi-year development player contract, which includes a full-roster spot by the 2026 season.
“The JackJumpers helped me take my game to another level and I feel like that’s starting to show in games with the Rams and I just want to keep building over the next few years” said Brown upon re-upping with the JackJumpers.
