Taylor Britt will be suiting up for his seventh season with the Canterbury Rams in the 2024 Sal’s NBL Season.
Britt returns with a wealth of experience and familiarity, having played 94 games for the organisation since 2015. Britt initially put the league on notice at the 2020 Sal’s NBL Showdown where he scored 19.6 points per game and dished out 4.6 assists. Ever since then he has been a point of stability for the franchise. This past season, Britt put up nightly averages of 9.5 points and 4.0 assists while shooting a blistering 43.1% from the three-point line.
“He brings a lot of experience to the table and has grown in his leadership,” said Head Coach Judd Flavell. “He’s a high-IQ player and the heart and soul of the Canterbury Rams.”
Even outside of his Sal’s NBL play, 2023 was an exciting year for Britt. He made his World Cup debut with the Tall Blacks playing against the likes of Egypt, Mexico, Jordan and the United States. Britt also joined the BBQs Direct Rams 3×3 Cup team and won the tournament with a 21-13 victory over the Wellington Saints.
“He’s been a big part of the Rams for years and hopefully for many more to come,” expressed Flavell. “I still think his best basketball is in front of him.”
