The Canterbury Rams Announce the return of Alex Talma for the 2020 Sals NBL Season

The Canterbury Rams would like to announce the return of Alex Talma, for the 2020 Sal’s NBL Season. This announcement comes as Rams head coach Mick Downer’s fourth player signing.

For this offseason Alex stayed local, opting to work on his game with coach Mick Downer and get involved in the community both through his job and opportunities with the Rams. It’s safe to say Alex has had a continued impact on the community and kids around our city well after the season finished up, doing school visits, leading after school hoops programs and being the head coach at Rams & Wildcats Camps throughout the year.

Not to mention, Alex had a major impact for the Rams last season on the court, averaging 7 points a game and 6 rebounds but just as importantly doing things on court that don’t show on the stat sheet. His presence, hustle and strength, is something Rams head coach Mick Downer is looking forward to having back saying

“Every successful team needs a few guys that are tough, physical and dominate in the paint. We are excited to welcome back Alex into a Rams uniform this season.

An amazing young man who plays with great energy and physicality. We are really excited about what he can contribute to the team’s success this year. Alex is great on court and even better in the community with his passion for helping today’s youth.”

Alex is a fan favourite and we know Rams fans will be excited to see him in the red and black again next season! Alex will be at the Breakers game tomorrow night, signing special Rams posters! Make sure you grab a poster and go see him!
